"A little difference between ○○" <That oval plate edition>

One afternoon, a customer asked me the following question:

I would like to know the color comparison between the Oval and Saturnia Tivoli...

"I'm considering buying a white oval plate, and I think there was a weight comparison with Saturnia on the website. Is the color a bluish white like Saturnia? Or is it more like an ivory like Iittala?"

Unless something like this happens, I never compare the different colors of the white plates I own, so I thought I'd give it a try!
If you think about it, I would be too embarrassed to take my own plates to a restaurant and check the color.

So I decided to compare the plate next to the Iittala Teema and Saturnia Tivoli that I happened to have at home.

Comparison of the oval plate, Saturnia and Teema

Looking at it this way, Teema is clearly a white that leans more ivory.

To answer your question, I think that the oval plate is a bluish white that is quite similar to Saturnia. However, if you look closely, there is a slight difference. To express it, Saturnia looks a little lower in brightness (= grayish?), and similarly, there may be times when the oval looks a little brighter white.

But it's not something you'd notice at the dinner table, but rather if you look closely at it against a white background... I hope that answers your question.

There are many different shades of white for tableware

Both have a similar impression of thickness. It's been hard to find an oval plate with this thickness. I've asked around at Spanish bars and such, but I've never been able to buy one at an interior design shop. Thinner plates give off a more refined impression and are lighter, so it seems like there are only good things about them, but personally I think they give off the feeling of a high-end restaurant from a long time ago, and I feel like they're "not balanced with everyday life." Of course, there are many people who look good in them, but they don't suit me.

Since tableware is meant to be used a lot, it's better if it's a little thick, sturdy, and cute looking.
